SAT Math Section Tips Triangles
Triangles can be very different! The SAT math section is full of triangles. Theyââ¬â¢re the most basic 2D shape that you can create and they can be found everywhere, so the SAT wants to make sure that you have the basic facts down pat. So letââ¬â¢s look at some tricks and facts about triangles. Weââ¬â¢ll start by looking at the triangle below (not drawn to scale). 1) The angles of a triangle Fact 1: The angles of a triangle add up to 180à °. This fact you just have to drill into your head. It shows up time and time again on the SAT. Itââ¬â¢s a specific case of the general rule that the angles of a shape with n sides add up to 180(n-2), but even if you forget that, keep the number 180à ° in your head. With that fact, we can then deduce that angle x is 72à °: 73à ° + 35à ° = 108à ° ââ â 180à °- 108à ° = 72à ° 2) The third side of a triangle Fact 2: The third side of a triangle is greater than the difference of the other two sides and less than the sum of the other two sides. A question that might show up on the SAT is one that asks you for a possible length of the third side. Taking the fact above, we can find the lower and upper bounds: 14 - 5 = 9 14 + 5 = 19 Thus, side a must be between 9 and 19. 3) Angles and the side across from them Fact 3: The angles of a triangle are proportional to the sides across from them. What does this mean exactly? This means that the bigger an angle is, the bigger the side across from it is, and vice versa. So just eyeballing the triangle above, it might be hard to tell if side a or b is longer. But because we can see that angle y is clearly the largest angle, we can infer that a is the longest side. Angles x and z look fairly similar, but since side b is visibly longer than side c, we can infer that angle x is the smallest. Use facts like this to help you infer information about a triangle if the SAT question does not say ââ¬Å"Not drawn to scale.â⬠4) The same angles Fact 4: If two triangles have the same angles, their sides are proportional to each other. 5) If two triangles are parallel Fact 5: If the sides of two triangles are all parallel, then their angles are equal. These two facts refer to what are called similar triangles. Similar triangles have the same angles and are thus proportional to each other. Observe the triangle (not drawn to scale) and the problem below: AF = 10, BE = 8, BD = 5, and CF = 15. AF and BE are parallel. What is the area of triangle BCE? First, letââ¬â¢s label the diagram. Because we need to find the area of triangle BCE and we know that the height is 5, we need to figure out the base (CE). So letââ¬â¢s label the diagram, calling CE x, since that is what we want to solve for in order to find the area of the smaller triangle: We use double lines to mark lines AF and BE as parallel. Fact 5 can be invoked here because if two lines overlap, they must be parallel. Thus, since CE and CF overlap and AC and BC overlap, they are also parallel. Therefore, triangles ACF and BCE share the same angles and are therefore similar triangles. Whenever you see any two triangles drawn overlapping like in the diagram above, you can immediately recognize them as similar triangles. So, letââ¬â¢s use Fact 4 now. You can either set up the proportion as: Big side 1 Small side 1 10 8 ------------- = ---------------- ââ â ---- = ---- Big side 2 Small side 2 15 x OR: Big side 1 Big side 1 10 15 ---------------- = ----------------- ââ â --- = ---- Small side 1 Small side 2 8 x Remember that the parallel sides must be either horizontal (as in the first case) or vertical (as in the second case) to each other. In the first equation, the bigger triangleââ¬â¢s side AF (10) is horizontal from the smaller triangleââ¬â¢s side BE (8). In the second equation, it is vertical from the smaller one. Both equations will yield 10x = 120 and therefore x = 12. We can then multiply this base 12 by the height 5 and divide by 2 (remember: a triangleââ¬â¢s area is à ½ * base * height (= bh/2) to yield the area of triangle BCE as 30. Remembering Special Right Triangles Beyond the basic equilateral, isosceles, and right triangles that you should remember, there are two key right triangles to memorize. These are the 45/45/90 triangle and the 30/60/90 triangle. Letââ¬â¢s look at the former first: Using fact 3 from above, we know that angles x and y must be the same, since the sides across from them are equal. Since they must add up to 90à °, each one must be 45à °: 90à ° + x + y = 180à ° x = y 90à ° + 2x = 180à ° 2x = 90à ° x = 45à ° y = 45à ° Now, what is side a? We can use the Pythagorean Theorem, remembering that a is the hypotenuse: 12 + 12 = a2 2 = a2 a = âËÅ¡2 45/45/90 triangles show up often on the SAT and itââ¬â¢s important to remember that they will always be in the following ratio because they all share the same angles (remember Fact 4 above): Now letââ¬â¢s take a look at a 30/60/90 triangle. These triangles lie in a 1, âËÅ¡3, 2 ratio. Itââ¬â¢s relatively easy to remember the sides of these triangles: the trick is to count up from 1 and square root the highest number. For the 45/45/90 triangle, you know both equal sides have to be the smallest and so they are both 1. Count up to 2 for the hypotenuse and square root that. So a 45/45/90 triangle is in a 1:1:âËÅ¡2 ratio. For the 30/60/90 triangle, all three sides have to be different since angles are different. So counting up from 1 and square rooting the highest number will give you 1, 2, âËÅ¡3. But which side is which? Because âËÅ¡1 is 1 and âËÅ¡4 is 2, we know that âËÅ¡3 has to be the middle number, so it has to be across from 60à ° and 2 must be the hypotenuse as it is the largest number. The ratio then is 1:âËÅ¡3:2. Finding Triangles in Bigger Shapes Armed with these triangle tricks, we can solve what initially seem to be daunting problems. Take a look at the following problem (again, not drawn to scale): If the area of the semicircle from A to B is 13.5Ãâ¬, CD is one third the length of AB, AB is parallel to CD, and angle CED is 60à °, then, what is the area of triangle CDE? So it seems at first that we have very little information, but letââ¬â¢s work on this systematically, going through each piece of information. Letââ¬â¢s use the first piece of information, that the semicircleââ¬â¢s area is 13.5Ãâ¬. Notice that AB is the diameter of the semicircle. What would the area of the full circle be? Just double it and you get 27Ãâ¬. From that area, we can work backwards to get the radius: Ãâ¬r2 = 27Ã⬠Divide by Ãâ¬: r2 = 27 Square root both sides: r = âËÅ¡27 Factor it: r = âËÅ¡27 = âËÅ¡9 * âËÅ¡3 = 3âËÅ¡3 Now, the radius is half the diameter, so double it to get the diameter. 6âËÅ¡3 is the length ofline AB. CD is one third the length of AB, so it is 6âËÅ¡3 divided by 3 = 2âËÅ¡3. AB is parallel to CD and we see that AE and CE overlap and that BE and DE overlap. Therefore, the two triangles are similar and angle CDE must also be a right angle (like angle ABE). Angle CDE is 60à °, so we therefore have a 30/60/90 triangle! Letââ¬â¢s redraw the diagram with the information weââ¬â¢ve gathered. We have the height of triangle CDE (2âËÅ¡3) so now we just need to find the base (DE). Remember 30/60/90 triangles are in the ratio of 1:âËÅ¡3:2, so: 2âËÅ¡3 âËÅ¡3 ----- = ---- DE 1 Cross out âËÅ¡3 in the upper terms and you get that DE = 2. For good measure what is thelength of CE? Itââ¬â¢s twice DE, so it must be 4. Now we can apply the triangleââ¬â¢s area formula (bh/2) 2 * 2âËÅ¡3 ----------- = 2âËÅ¡3 2 By now, you should be a master of triangles! When you see what looks like a complicated geometry problems, use these math SAT section tips and always look for triangles (and other familiar shapes like rectangles and circles) to use each piece of information step by step in order to get the information you need to solve the problem. Essay on The Greater Sin in Hawthornes The Scarlet Letter
The Greater Sin in The Scarlet Letter In essence, there were three main sins committed in The Scarlet Letter, the sins of Hester, the Reverend Arthur Dimmesdale, and Roger Chillingworth. Roger Chillingworth committed the greatest sin because he let himself be ruled by hatred and the consuming desire for vengeance. The overpowering vengeance and hatred felt by Chillingworth caused his life to be centered on demeaning Dimmesdale and tormenting him until the end of time. Both Hester Prynne and Arthur Dimmesdale committed sins for which they were deeply remorseful, Roger Chillingworth, however, committed the greater sin because he felt no guilt. Unknowingly, Hester Prynne sailed from Europe to the Americas betrayed and tricked.â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Reverend Dimmesdale was a renowned, prideful man stricken with sin and extreme guilt. From the time Hester and Dimmesdale made love, he was grievous of his sin but he also felt a great love towards her. Dimmesdales stubborn pride troubled him greatly, and although he tried many times, he could not confess his sin to his religious followers. Dimmesdale felt guilt so strongly that he scourged himself on his breast and patterned an ââ¬Å"Aâ⬠into his own flesh, yet he could not confess his sin until his grief grew so great it caused him to perish. Reverend Dimmesdales sin was greater than Hesters because he let his pride conflict with his repentance, and let his life be ruined by his anguish. Physically deformed and mysterious, Roger Chillingworth finally met his wife after being separated from her for almost two years. He showed no great anger towards her and took upon himself some of the accountability saying it was ââ¬Å"...my folly and thy weakness,â⬠(Hawthorne 52) which was the cause of Hesters sin. Understanding the Global Warming Debate - 2393 Words
Throughout history climates have drastically changed. There have been shifts from warm climates to the Ice Ages (Cunningham Cunningham, 2009, p.204). Evidence suggests there have been at least a dozen abrupt climate changes throughout the history of the earth. There are a few suspected reasons for these past climate changes. One reason may be that asteroids hitting the earth and volcanic eruptions caused some of them. A further assumption is that 22-year solar magnetic cycles and 11-year sunspot cycles played a part in the changes. A further possibility is that a regular shifting in the angle of the moon orbiting earth, with the ensuing changing tides and atmospheric circulation, affects the global climate (Cunningham Cunningham,â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Finally, they claim that ExxonMobileââ¬â¢s relationships with government officials have made it possible for them to block federal policies (Easton, 2009, p.155). Next, is data showing that increasing greenhouse gases caused by human activities is causing directly observed climate changes. The first resulting climate change discussed is warming global surface temperature. There has been an increase in global surface temperature of 0.74 degrees C since the late 19th century. In the last 50 years alone the temperature has increased by 0.13 degrees C per decade. North America and Eurasia have seen the largest increase in warmth (Easterling Karl, 2011, para6). Further, the hottest years recorded since instrument recording of temperatures became possible were from 1995 to 2006. Plus, new measurement analysis of the lower and mid-troposphere show comparable temperature rising rates as surface temperatures (Alley et al., 2007, p.5). Also, in this past century the arctic temperature average has doubled in comparison to the global temperature average (Alley et al., 2007, p.7). In addition, borehole temperatures, snow cover, and glacier recessio n data all seem to agree with recent warming (Easterling Karl, 2011, para11). Scientists are saying that the difference between the warming period at the end of the Ice Age and the warming happening now is that the warming at the end of the Ice Age was very gradual over a span of 5,000 years, but the warming now isShow MoreRelatedGlobal Warming Forewords Global warming is the result of a large concentration of CO2 and1400 Words à |à 6 PagesGlobal Warming Forewords Global warming is the result of a large concentration of CO2 and greenhouse gases (GHGs) in the atmosphere. Working Weeks Free Essays
In New Zealand by Altering Working Weeks If I could change one thing about the world of business and organizations, it would be to alter the generic 40 hour working week for New Islanders. I would define this key strategic issue in two particular contexts; the first of which being how the generic working week is structured, and the second being the average amount of normal weekly hours a full time worker must work to maintain a livelihood. It is imperative that both areas of this Issue are addressed in order to benefit employees, societies and corporations. We will write a custom essay sample on Working Weeks or any similar topic only for you Order Now This can be done by combating society Issue of growing unemployment to generate a sustainable employment future for all kiwis, while still benefiting employers by Increase efficiency and effectiveness within our economy. This particular Issue Is Important to me because I have now been unemployed for seven months and have found it extraordinarily difficult. I often worry about how my children will handle employment in the future along with the inevitability that it is to only bound to be worse for them. Increasing population vs.. Creasing amount of jobs is to blame for this rising trend towards future unemployment. Population is increasing at an exponential rate which is driving unemployment up, but is not as easily addressed as the issue of decreasing Jobs. It is widely known that globalization has been a number one driver in unemployment. Fifty percent of Jobs that were available thirty years ago no longer exist due to technological advancement or ââ¬Ëmachines taking overââ¬â¢ (Rotten, 2013). Jobs are increasingly being replaced by robots to improve efficiency, and as technology advances; so too will this issue. I worked as a checkout operator at New World Metro for five years and during this time we Introduced self-service lanes, which dramatically decreased New Worlds need for checkout staff. I was trained as a self- service supervisor and my Job was to look over eight of these machines and help if any issues arose. Technically, my job replaced that of eight checkout operators. It is not to say that people were fired during this time of transition, but when people left; many were not replaced due to lack of demand. This example from my prior work experience can be applied to majority of firms these days. It is an issue to be addressed in all industries, at both ends of the spectrum, from supermarkets to law firms. Many have predicted computers to take the place of lawyers in the next 10 ââ¬â 20 year because of their capacity to hold information from millions books (Lick, 2013). However, Increasing technology Is not something that can be, nor should be stopped, as It helps economies grow and become more efficient and effective. It Is Improvements In the way we work, that may be able to address this Issue. There are various ways we can look at combating unemployment and increase efficiency and effectiveness within the New Zealand structured. New Zealand currently adapts an eight hour a day, five day week. This leaves workers with only two free days a week implying 30% free time, which Just does not feel like enough. It is depressing to think that as a human we spend 70% of every week of our entire life working. Changing too 10 hour: 4 day ratio means free time is increased to 42. 8% of every week; which is a whole lot closer to half way. Using this structure, workers can still work the same amount of hours while earning the same income but gaining an extra day of free time to spend doing the things they enjoy. This will improve each individualââ¬â¢s general mood, thus creating happier irking environments, which could generate more efficient and effective workplaces. It is also inevitable that work places would become more efficient under this system, as projects would get completed at a faster rate. Companies would gain two extra hours a day of an individualââ¬â¢s time to complete each project, thus completing Jobs at a higher frequency in the same amount of working hours. The 10 hour: 4 day week could also impact positively on unemployment, as companies gain an entire day of working hours where cover must be found a week. Fortunately this extra day does not mom at the expense of decreasing anyone elseââ¬â¢s hours, thus an entire new Job is formed. This idea comes under the assumption that majority of companies are open seven days a week. Consequently, each organization would need to increase their Weekend staff to cater for this extra day. Additionally, this structure could also help job-share equality in the workplace; implying two days each for each worker. Therefore this 10 hour four day week would not only be beneficial for full time employees by increasing their free time, and Job share employees by creating an equal split, it would also benefit corporations by increasing productivity and efficiency, and society by decreasing unemployment. The next area to look at when addressing issues surrounding unemployment and effective workplaces, would be the average amount of normal weekly hours full time workers work. New Islanders currently adapt a 40 hour average working week, with many (particularly in trade areas) working 48 hour weeks. There seems to be a trend towards employees working larger amounts of hours as there is a higher demand for these kinds of workers. Unfortunately, this system favors corporations at the expense to employees and societies. This is an area which must be addressed in order to maintain equality teen the three. If we continue with our current system, issues surrounding this inequality will only get worse. Results could possibly lead to a future where our children would be considered (in todayââ¬â¢s society) as slaves. The number one way to address this would be to somehow prove to organizations that decreasing employeeââ¬â¢s average hours, would benefit their company in the long run. We can look to countries like Germany and France for particular examples of decreased hours benefiting economies. France currently adapts a 35 hour working week with longer holiday periods. They work the least in the world but have one of the highest productivity rates, working less but working better valuing quality over quantity (Businesswomanââ¬â¢s, 2013). Germany on the other hand, also adapt a 35 hour working week and maintain a low unemployment rate of 5. % (Rheostat, 2014) compared with New Sealantââ¬â¢s 5. 9% (Businesses, 2014). The British Economics Foundation makes fair point in their book time on our sideââ¬â¢ that the optimum working resources, reducing greenhouse gas, benefiting employeeââ¬â¢s general health and fix unemployment by creating new Jobs. I particularly agree with the issue of b enefiting employee general health. I have previously argued that increasing employees free time days will improve their mood, but will also improves their general health, whether it mental or physical. It is evident that SSH accidents increase as an individualââ¬â¢s amount of hours worked increases, stress and fatigue being general causes (OCHS, 2012). This is neither an efficient or effective way of working and is a particular issue in trade industries, as many opt for increased hour working weeks to keep up with demand. Companies should decreasing employeeââ¬â¢s hours in order to decrease work place accidents in order to promote efficient and effective workplaces. A final point to note is that, decreasing the average working week will generate new jobs which is the number one issue at hand in my argument. Altering the generic 40 hour working week is key to combating unemployment and increase efficiency and effectiveness within the New Zealand economy. We can do one of two ways; how the working weeks are structured and by looking at how many hours people work. I argued that in re-structuring to four ten hour days provides far more benefits for employees, societies and companies than five eight hour days in a working week. My final argument proved that the inequalities between these three parties must be dressed now in order for future generations not to be taken advantage of and this can be addressed by decreasing working weeks. I feel that there is a high likelihood that measures to alter working weeks will be addressed in the future, as issues surrounding increasing population vs.. Unemployment due to globalization grow. However, barriers to addressing this would surround individualââ¬â¢s right to choose how much they want to work. As the working economy gets more competitive people will want to do more to get on top. If that means working more, than this issue has the potential to get a lot worse. Bronwyn Donaghys self
Bronwyn Donaghys self-help book Unzipped is everything teenagers want to know about love, sex and each other Essay Key aspect to all expository texts is the effective use of techniques in producing a credible text in the hope to influence and position the reader to accept particular views. Bronwyn Donaghys self-help book Unzipped is everything teenagers want to know about love, sex and each other. Through this text, Donaghy attempts to influence and infiltrate todays youth in action against radical beliefs towards sex, drugs and puberty. Instead, her more conservative views are present in all aspects of the text and despite appearing to be more in touch with readers, the underlying facts show her to be influencing against many ideas, like youth sex. In particular, we see Donaghy promoting certain attitudes and values while rejecting others. Attitudes and values like abstinence, other sexual contact, long term relationships and communication within families are promoted. However we see heavy petting, drugs, youth sex and media representation as being rejected. The most easily noted technique Donaghy uses is her structure à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â¬Å" through use of expository chapters and also personal touches, it appeals not only to younger readers, curious about their personal development, but also to parents who may face the issues with uncomfortable questions asked. Donaghy openly rejects the view that sex and drugs are cool. She rejects this view through use of techniques such as selection of detail and personal touches, which in itself, is an aspect of selection of detail. For example in You Sexy Thangs, she states that there are boys who have put some intelligent thoughts into their personal development and have decided to wait until they are older, wiser, and more self-sufficient before having sex. p. 99, 100 This statement shows Donaghy as not just rejecting sex, but also those who choose to have sex by saying that those who perform the deed are not intelligent or thinking about their personal development. Also in You Sexy Thangs, we see Donaghy as trying to appeal to drug users on a personal level as At the age of 15, Anna Woodà ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¦died from the effects of illegal drugs in 1995, before she ever had the chance to fall in love. p. 109 One relating personal touch story in relation to this story is Kims Story, a tale about finding true love, and realising that sex isnt a necessity of life à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â¬Å" I told I wanted to break up,à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¦even the sex was getting comfortable and sort of ordinary Since told me what happened I have practically sworn myself to celibacy p. 27, 128. Another personal touch, Helens Story shows Donaghys negative attitude on drugs à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â¬Å" When I woke up the next morning I didnt have a clue where I wasà ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¦I didnt ever want to be out of control like that againp. 143, 144. However in contrast, she promotes the value of abstinence, of waiting before you have sex. From the introduction, where Donaghys use of rhetorical questions shows some kind of concern with youth sex à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â¬Å" What if planes wrote it in swirling white letters across a wide blue skyà ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¦would they look up? Would they listen? p. 6 to Amiras Story I cant remember ever making a decision to remain a virginà ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¦I want sex to be really special, with the right person p. 92 she continually sends the message to wait. Donaghy also promotes the ideals of family and how every family should be more open in discussion with children about sex, and their bodies. She adds credibility to the text by her use of appeals to authority, statistics, and language. .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4 , .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4 .postImageUrl , .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4 , .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4:hover , .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4:visited , .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4:active { border:0!important; } .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4:active , .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4 .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u5e68c87948ccc1855f1d8f98f57b42d4:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Great Expectations - Charles Dickens EssayIn reference to the chapter Please Help Me: Im Desperate and I Cant Tell My Mum she relies on the use of appeals to authority made by Doctor Melissa Kang, adolescent health specialist at the Childrens Hospital in Sydney à ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã¢â¬Å" Some of know their bodies inside outà ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¦but when it comes to what they are doing with their bodies like what happens during sex, they are surprisingly ignorant p. 26. In promoting communication, Dr Kang states that adolescents who have received a good sex education are much more likely to delay their sexual involvement and that Sex education should begin at homeà ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¦parents should continue to be their childrens main source of informationà ¢Ã¢â ¬Ã ¦should is hard, guaranteed to produce guilt p. 27. At the same time she rejects the idea of the media in representing teens and sex. In the chapter Love or Sex? Great Expectations Donaghy rejects the media as the reason why youth expect instant perfect love p. 65 when kids want something, they want it now, and they want it to be just as good as it looked on the television p. 66. I personally dont accept this text, the excuses made by Donaghy nor her attitude towards youth intelligence. Specifically in reference to her need to dumb things down, treating any reader like an immature child, not as a young adult seeking help. Donaghy seems to present the need to use primal language, for example, in reference to ejaculating or going to the toilet, she continues by also providing terms like coming, or poo and shit. Unzipped is a text that, despite personal differences for or against the book, it is effective in supporting Donaghys ideals with expository techniques.
